I figured it out. In the ‘exit’ tag, the ‘expr’ attribute needs to be a string. I had it as a number.

My corrected exit tag looks like this:
[exit expr="'6154597272'" /]

Again, I’ve replaced the exit tag’s open and close angled brackets with ‘[' and ']‘ so that it will show up in the post.

Hello, I am trying to exit my VoiceXML document back to extensions.conf then use the VXML_RESULT variable to send DTMF tones back to the Telco.

In my VoiceXML document I use the ‘exit’ tag as follows:

In my extensions.conf file I call the Vxml app then use the ‘VXML_RESULT’ variable as follows:
exten => VXML,n,Vxml(http://localhost/vxml/EmdeonVoice.php?DNIS=${VXML_ID})
exten => VXML,n,ExecIf($["${VXML_RESULT}" != "0"]?SendDTMF(*0w${VXML_RESULT}))

The problem is that VXML_RESULT never gets populated. I know that some voice browsers do not implement the ‘expr’ attribute of the ‘exit’ tag. Does VXI* implement the ‘expr’ attribute of the ‘exit’ tag?

a simple question, the vxi for free download support dtfm modes? i cant improve more complex vxml than hello world with audio tag, so anybody got the same problem?

Yes, of course.
You can connect a vxml application to an extension and play a message or get the caller_ID…but with vxml you can do much more complex things…
