VXI* Cloud-Ready

admin | | Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

VXI* is a Cloud-Ready IVR / IVVR software to be hosted on a cloud computing environment. Thanks to VoiceXML and Asterisk, VXI* is the most scalable, flexible and evolutive option to deploy a Cloud Telephony Service by yourself. All VXI* packages since 5.X are built to run on a 32bit or 64bit virtual machine. IVR virtualization is a fundamental advance on traditional IVR, allowing to deploy a single physical IVR infrastructure across multiple sites and provision onto that infrastructure many Virtual IVRs, each of which performs as if it were an independent, dedicated IVR.

Cloud-Ready for Video Telephony

As VXI* is already a video IVR or IVVR system, so you can run video call services on the Cloud too, the only condition is to adjust the IP bandwidth and CPU performance for your video transcoding. Remember that a video call can require twice or triple CPU capacity than a voice call on a total virtualization system (no external board transcoding/processing is required). Remember, to run an IVVR, you will require specific Xtras* Software packages.

Licensing and Evaluation

VXI* Cloud Servers are licensed with a special software key and don’t require specific License Server with Internet connection. All our software is available for download and it’s delivered with two evaluation modes:

  • 1 port for Trial, no key activation required (unlimited time)
  • 30 ports for Trial, key=evaluation (will require to reload after 30 min)

Hosting Services

You have many options to select your hosting, Amazon EC2, our I6NET Cloud Hosting or build your own Private Cloud IVR environment. Whereas Amazon EC2 will requires to manage yourself all administration tasks, PSTN/SIP trunking and IVR monitorization processes, I6NET already provides you theses specific value added services.

VM Platforms

We recommend to work with following tested Virtual Machine Platforms to get support:
