Madrid, Spain and Chicago, USA. May 10, 2010 — I6NET, a company specializing in sophisticated VoiceXML browsers for speech applications, and Orecx, a company specializing in voice recording, announced a partnership today for integration of their products for the Asterisk telephony platform. The combination of I6NET VXI* VoiceXML browser and Oreka Voice Recorder significantly improve the value proposition of implementing sophisticated solutions with Asterisk.

VXI* VoiceXML browser for Asterisk provides the ability to rapidly develop and deploy innovative VoiceXML-controlled voice and video applications in VoIP, PSTN, and 3G-324M networks. VXI* is fully compliant with W3C VoiceXML 2.0 and some 2.1 specifications, and can easily integrate automatic speech recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS) systems to enable advanced IVR/IVVR applications, voice and video communications, and real-time video calling applications. VXI* interpreter is pluggable into standard Digium Asterisk PBX releases. The solution is scalable as well as affordable.

Oreka allows clients to search, find and categorize recordings based on time or date of call, incoming phone number, outgoing phone number or other customer requirements. The VoIP Ready Oreka TR enhances the Oreka GPL recorder that runs on all computer operating systems and integrates with any phone system. Access to the calls is provided with standard browsers like Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, without installing any additional software. Replay of calls works with a standard Media Player. Powerful and flexible search criteria allow for immediate and accurate retrieval of required calls.

“Oreka is a very complementary software for our VXI* products, both are providing a complete solution from Asterisk to build complex autoattendant systems now with Oreka voice recording application to manage quality management and service control for any call. Orecx and I6NET are Digium’s partners and Asterisk’s ecosystem members since years, now both companies are committed to collaborate with their most advanced products for this Open Source Telephony Platform” said Ivan Sixto, Co-Founder & CEO of I6NET.

“We are very excited about this relationship with I6NET,” said Bruce Kaskey, Co-Founder of Orecx. “I6NET and OrecX work closely with Digium and Asterisk products, the combination gives customers affordable, scalable and sophisticated software that enhances the end-users telephony platform.”
