What’s new for the beginning of 2009 year?
The 4th generation of our I6NET VXI* VoiceXML browser for Asterisk is coming.

As some of our partners and customers already knows, we’ve been working behind the scene on the development of the new version 4.0 of VXI* VoiceXML browser for lasted Asterisk 1.4 and 1.6 platforms. This new release is currently installed in most preproduction platforms deployed since a couple of months, and it really powerful for videocalling and last Asterisk kernels running over Dhadi!

We will be publishing more descriptions and the full packages to download very soon for the first week of January. We are also working in a new 4.0 documentation and installation guides.

Overall the response so far this new release is the major change made to our IVR/IVVR VoiceXML browser product since it creation; important features have been added to new video functions, programming options, logs/stats reporting and a new update for our automatic speech recognition engines (ASR) connector.

One more thing: VXI* 4.0 will be built for i686 with 32bit and 64bit OS

Verbio TTS is the Verbio engine for voice synthesis or conversion of text to speech. It is a synthesis system offering high voice quality, naturalness and intelligibility. Aimed at telephone applications, and speaker-independent, it is also applicable in certain microphone and multimedia applications. Available in the different languages used in the Iberian peninsula and in all Latin American countries. Verbio also complements this offer with others value added speech products like wordspotting, natural language recognition engine, speaker verification, etc.

Asterisk reaches 1.5 million download milstone in 2008!

Digium announces that its Asterisk open source telephony software was downloaded 1.5 million times in 2008, more than any other year in company history and an impressive 50 percent higher than last year. The announcement caps a year of milestones and accolades for Digium and marks a promising start to 2009, when Digium celebrates the 10th anniversary of Asterisk, the open source software that is changing the telecommunications world.

Digium’s strong 2008 year highlights the attractiveness of less expensive, easily customizable open source software in the current recession. Asterisk is the world’s dominant open source telephony software. As the economic crisis worsened, Asterisk downloads rose by 32 percent from September through December, compared to a year ago.

MyVocal – Listen Up!
